Mission of the Month

Your Missions Committee has selected “Our Father’s House” as the Mission of the Month for July and asks for your support for this opportunity in mission. Our Father’s House (OFH) is a ministry for street children located in Tarime, Tanzania. This ministry was born out of the Tanzanian United Methodist Church and operates with the leadership of Tanzanian locals. The goal of this ministry is to reunite the child with a member of their family who can act as a parent to them. While the child is without a family, OFH helps the child to arrange schooling and help with school fees, find temporary housing and assist with basic living needs such as food and water. Sponsoring a child is $40 per month (UMCOR 3021923, designate OFH or child). Please consider a donation for these children. Please put “Our Father’s House” in the memo field of a check this Sunday to make a difference.

Food Drive for Summer Lunch Bunch

During June and July, let’s help support Summer Lunch Bunch. Their food needs are very simple: grape jam and creamy peanut butter. Let’s make a difference by providing some of these items that will go into making sandwiches for deserving children this summer. Some children’s books would be a great complement to the food items. Everything collected in this special offering is for our outreach to the King George Summer Lunch Bunch. Let’s lend a helping hand to children in our local community.
